Hostel
One of the key contributors to an intensive learning experience is living on campus. A well furnished and aesthetically designed hostel with separate wings for boys and girls has been constructed with a view to provide best possible facilities to the students
A lush green lawn with an eco-friendly environment surrounds the hostel. For leisure and recreation, both indoor and outdoor sports facilities are made available in the hostel. A well-equipped gymnasium helps the students to keep fit on an activity packed day at the institute. Access to library and Internet facilities are also made available to students. The hostel also provides hygienic meals, laundry and ironing facilities, round the clock transport facility, a PCO with STD and ISD facility which gives students a homely as well as a professional atmosphere.
Allotment is done on first come first serve basis. So immediately after the admission is granted – the students should apply to the Chief Warden of the concerned College for seeking hostel accommodation. Students are welcome to visit and witness the facilities for their satisfaction. On an average 40% of the students stay in hostels; about 25% with their parents and relatives and the rest (mainly students of senior years) in private rented accommodation in the adjoining city habitats.
Facilities at the Hostel:
- Each of these hostels has a Common Room equipped with facilities like indoor games like Table Tennis, Carom Board, Chess, Badminton, Basketball etc. and a gymnasium. Hostels are having 24 hours electric and water supply.
- The 1000 KVA standby generator and water treatment plants ensure the continuous supply of electricity and water.
- Drinking water is supplied after treatment through R.O. (Reverse Osmosis) plant to make it potable; however underground water is pumped directly for use in bathing and other purposes
