Admission Eligibility
The order of preference for these Management quota admissions is indicated below-
(i) Rank in SEE-MTU/UPSEE
(ii) Rank in JEE /AIEEE/ CAT/MAT
(iii) Percentage in XII th exam
Lapsed Seats – Lapsed seats are those where in the students who opted for a college during counseling and were offered admission by MTU but do not join subsequently or withdraw,thereby creating a set of vacant seats which are termed as Lapsed seats.These seats may be filled by subsequent counseling of MTU or the University may authorize the college to fill up the seats, if counseling sessions are over in which case the procedure /eligibility of Management Quota seats applies.
1: B Tech (1st Year)
A: XII with Phy + Maths + (Chem. / Comp.Sc./Bio/Bio technology) with Min. 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category)
2: B Tech (2nd Year)
A: Passed Diploma examination from an AICTE approved institution with at least 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category)
B: Passed B.Sc Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC with at least 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category)
C: Provided that in case of students belonging to B.Sc. Stream, shall clear the subjects of engineering Graphics/Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year engineering program along with the second year subject.
D: Provided that in case of students belonging to B.Sc. Stream, shall be considered only after filling the supernumerary seats in this category with students belonging to Diploma Stream
3: MBA
Recognized bachelor’s Degree of Minimum 3 years Duration in any discipline with Min. 50%
4: B Arch
A: XII with Phy + Maths + (Chem. / Engineering Drawing/Comp.Sc./Bio) with Min. 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category)
